Under the heading of Work-Life Balance, the December 7, 2009 print issue of Business Week published a short piece entitled "The Rise of the Family Guy". (The online version has it as part of a Management and Leadership section).
The net of the story was that more males are enrolling in a "Work & Family" course at Stanford Business School. Yes, the males are looking for fairness in a relationship, to be better fathers and are even learning about eldercare issues.
I see more and more Millenials entering public service, including Teach for America and the U.S. Peace Corps (including my son). I also see that these "kids" are far more environmentally aware. This article seems to show that it doesn't stop there. As this generation marries and raises children, it will be great to know that they could also be way ahead of my generation on work-life balance issues.
I couldn't be happier.
